The brief was to design a new self-contained café in Nottingham University’s brand new sports facility. It needed to provide an environment which attracts both university students and the wider university community. It was to feel part of the sports facility by complimenting the centres' colours of gold and green and to have a “clubhouse” feel. It was required to have the potential to host sports camps and post-match teas with a strong consideration and provisions for wheelchair users.
